Early Life (2016-2027)

Teila Catherine Owens-Lee is the only child of Andrew and Samantha Donoghue. Andrew Donoghue was a half-blood wizard who was a childhood friend of Betrys Lee. After passing away during an Auror incident in 2023, Teila's mother also passed away soon after from a broken heart, leaving Teila by herself at eight years of age. She was taken to a wizarding orphanage in America.

 

After three months, Teila was adopted by her godmother and good friend of her father's, Betrys Lee. She married Mia Owens in 2027, changing their last names to Owens-Lee.

Ilvermorny Years (2027-2033)

​

Teila began attending Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2027

at the customary age of eleven. Her father had also attended the school, and

so she was very familiar with it as he had told her everything about it before

he had passed away. In a way, it made her feel a little closer to him as she

experienced similar things to what he did. During the sorting ceremony she

stood on the Gordian Knot set into the middle of the stone floor and the

enchanted carving of Pukwudgie reacted. This was the same house as her

father, and so this made her even happier and excited to be attending the

school. Her adopted parents were very supportive of her throughout her

whole time at Ilvermorny, encouraging her to join clubs and activities that

would give her something to do when she wasn't studying. A cooking club

had inspired Teila to take on cooking as a hobby, and it was something she

rather enjoyed and suddenly wanted to do as a career. She came up with her

very first recipe at 16 for an apple and pear pie. Her favourite subject at

Ilvermorny was potions, and she rather liked the potions professor who also

encouraged her during her time there.

Later Life (2034 Onwards)

​

Graduating from Ilvermorny, Teila knew that she wanted to do something with cooking. She continued education at a cooking school, learning all there was to know and expanding from sweets to other types of homemade food. She spent 4 years there and completed her degree before then taking a bit of a break for a few years. She wasn't exactly sure where she would go from there and needed some time to think it over. Not only that, but her current relationship with Marcus Becker was getting tough, and so she thought a break was what she needed to clear her mind before heading into anything big.

In 2042 Teila bought the Makutu Dinette and put some of her signature

dishes on the menu. She owned it for seven years before deciding to

have a career change in 2050. She then began working for a wizarding

orphanage in America where she met Dominic, whom she adopted in

December, 2052.

The following year, in June 2053, Teila's younger brother Cadell

had his first child whom he named Aiya Nin. Teila took her out for

some days to spend together, including the muggle world where she

met a man named Killian Taylor in 2054. She quickly took a liking to

him, asking him out for lunch the next day at one of her favourite cafes

in New Zealand. He accepted, and the pair of them went together. It

didn't take long for Killian to realise that Teila was magical, and

luckily he had enough experience in the wizarding world that it didn't

shock him too much.
