Hogwarts Years (2043-2051)

​

First Year

 

Eddie began his first year quite lonely as he had to leave his best friend Abner behind. He was sorted into Hufflepuff House and didn't make very many friends, mostly because he didn't want anyone to replace Abner. He brought a pet owl with him to Hogwarts that he sent Abner letters with everyday. He told him all about Hogwarts and about the ghosts that roamed its walls. Eddie looked forward to the holidays where he could hang out with Abner and Cara again behind their house in the woods. During the semester break, Eddie and Abner were climbing one of the trees when Abner fell out, breaking his arm. Eddie felt extremely bad as it was his idea to climb the tree. This meant that the pair of them spent the rest of the holidays indoors bingewatching movies together and eating popcorn.

Overall, Eddie's first year was very underwhelming for him. His favourite subject ended up being Herbology, as he was somehow quite good at it, and he was moderate in all other subjects. 

​

Second Year

​

Coming into his second year, Eddie opted to try and do an extra curricular activity to distract himself from the loneliness. He tried out for the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team, successfully earning himself a position as the seeker. He was very happy about this and instantly sent Abner a letter about it. He practiced as much as he could and successfully caught the snitch one time during a game, making Hufflepuff win.

Third Year

​

Eddie was very excited for his third year as that was the year Abner and his sister Cara would be joining him at Hogwarts. Both of them were sorted into Hufflepuff, which made everything even more exciting. When it came to choosing extra classes, Eddie chose Muggle Studies and Care of Magical Creatures, as it was a class he had been waiting to take for a while. Caring for his owl during the last couple of years had made him grow close to creatures and he hoped the subject would be as interesting as he thought.

During the second semester, Eddie and Abner venture off outside together. They came across the forbidden forest and eventually the pair of them became lost in it. They didn't make it back out of the forest until after dinner time, which meant they were unable to have dinner that night. Terrified, Eddie headed straight back to his dormitory and promised himself that he would never do that again.

​

Fourth Year

​

During Eddie's fourth year, he makes a friend in the year above who is also part of the Quidditch Team. The pair of them ate meals together in the Great Hall and practiced together as often as they could. Eddie told Abner about the friend, reassuring him that Abner could never be replaced.

​

During the semester holidays, Abner and Eddie made plans to hang out, but unfortunately Eddie forgot about them, and instead hung out with his new friend. This caused tension between Eddie and Abner, and Abner became angry towards him and the pair of them stopped talking.

​

Fifth Year

​

Not talking to Abner really took a toll on Eddie, and so eventually Eddie apologised to him just before his fifth year started. Eddie was delighted to find out that he had received the title of prefect, and joked to Abner that he better be on his best behaviour.

​

During the semester break, Eddie and Abner are rolling down the hill on bikes when Abner falls off and tumbles into Eddie, who also falls off. The pair of them rolled to the bottom of the hill and Eddie fell beside Abner laughing. The pair of them almost kiss, however the moment is interrupted by Eddie's sister who is calling them back inside the house.

Sixth Year

​

Eddie's feelings for Abner were growing immensely. He knew how his parents felt about same sex relationships however, and so just tried his best to keep his feelings to himself. Eddie became captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team in his sixth year.

​

Seventh Year

​

Eddie knew that the last year of his schooling was very important. He was taking Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Muggle Studies and Defence Against The Dark Arts, which were subjects he had been doing fairly good in. Abner became a prefect, and Eddie was delighted for him.

​

During the semester break, Eddie and Abner finally kissed. Eddie couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt. It was his first kiss, however his parents always said it would be a sin, and despite how much he enjoyed it, he knew that he shouldn't have. The pair of them never mention it again.

​

Eddie had received O in Herbology, O in Care of Magical Creatures, O in Muggle Studies and A in Defence Against The Dark Arts. Overall, he had a good year and had won quite a few quidditch matches whilst still being able to maintain good grades.
