Wiki
At the end of the year, Dominic's grades were consistent, and he was forever thankful for the help and support he received from his students and professors. He even managed to get an O in Defence Against The Dark Arts class, which he was pleased with. He was looking forward to taking more subjects during his third year and hoped it wouldn't be too hard.
Third Year
Dominic headed into his third year determined to make the quidditch team. As soon as he was allowed,
he headed to the Quidditch pitch to put some practice in before the try-outs. It was there that he met a
Gryffindor Quidditch player who helped him with his form. He even provided him with some advice that he
should probably stick to one particular position if he wanted to get better. Dominic was very thankful for this,
however he still couldn't make up his mind what position he wanted to stick with. When tryouts came
around, he tried out for everything again, and was thrilled when he scored himself a position on the team
as a permanent chaser.
For the majority of the first semester, Dominic focused on practicing quidditch. Now that he knew what
position to focus on, it made things a lot easier. It was also wonderful having Marley on the team as well.
They did many things together and he was thankful to have such a great best friend and sister.
When Valentine's Day came around, Dominic's heart sank as he realised he forgot to send roses this
year to his friends. He had been so focused on Quidditch and his studies that it completely left his mind.
He was thankful however for the roses he received. One of them was a friendship rose from Callie and the other one was a red rose without a note, which meant that he potentially had a secret admirer. Dominic found this a little confusing, as he didn't think anyone liked him romantically, and he also thought they were too young to be sending romantic gestures. He thought it might have been a mistake however it was not.
Dominic was glad to be attending a Brotherhood event towards the end of the year as it meant a great distraction. It was simply a pillow fight, and Dominic had an amazing time with his friends, especially with Teddy. He realised it was the small things in life that he appreciated the most.
Fourth Year
Dominic was glad to be back for his fourth year. He was mostly excited to play some more quidditch, especially now as he had a guaranteed spot on the team and didn't have to worry about doing his best at try-outs this time around. He knew he had room to improve however and so practicing was going to be his top priority, as well as classes of course.
During the first Quidditch game of the semester, Dominic unfortunately didn't score any points, however their seeker caught the snitch which meant that they won. The Hufflepuff was very happy for this and just hoped he'd score some points for their team soon so that he could contribute.
When the year finally came to an end, Dominic was exhausted. He somehow managed to get an O in almost every class however, so he was quite happy for this.
Fifth Year
As Dominic's fifth year started, he began feeling nervous again, as he knew that this year would be important as he
would soon be taking his OWL exams. He was happy for Marley however who had rightly received a prefect's
badge, and he was keen to see where the new leadership role would take her.
Dominic mostly focused during the first semester on his studies. When Valentine's Day came around during the
second semester, the only rose he received was from Amodeus who had decided to send him a red rose this time
(which almost gave Dominic a heart attack until he read the note). Dominic figured the stress was getting to
everyone, so was not offended that the amount of roses he recieved was less than normal.
When the OWL exams were finally over, Dominic was a little disappointed that the only subject he received an O in
was Herbology, but he knew it was because the year was harder than normal, so he tried not to let it get to him too
much.
Sixth Year
Dominic headed into his sixth year surprised at how quickly time was moving. He felt it was not too long ago that he was a first year exploring the castle and its ground and making as many friends as he could, and now he was in his second last year of school.
Dominic had a rather quiet year, mostly just focusing on quidditch and his studies. He was glad that he had dropped a few subjects this year, so he had more time to focus on the ones that he enjoyed. He was now also learning how to apparate however, and despite knowing this would be a challenge for him, he also knew this would be useful for when he would graduate.
When Valentine's Day came around, Dominic decided to take a bit of a break from studying for the day and help deliver some roses for Valentine's Day. He rather enjoyed doing this and seeing people's reactions. He was unsure why he didn't think of doing it sooner.
The year ended soon enough and Dominic was glad that he managed to get a couple of more O's in his classes.
Seventh Year
Dominic couldn't believe it when he received a prefect badge in the post before the start of his
Seventh Year. He wasn't sure how much he deserved it, and it felt odd attending the prefect's
meeting, however he had Marley again to help guide him. He just hoped it wouldn't be too much for
him on top of the pressure of the final exams at the end of the year. On top of that, Teddy was Head
Boy and Dominic was proud of his friend.
Dominic spent the most of the year studying, and making the most of his final year in the Quidditch
team. He attended another Brotherhood event which involved speed dating. With all his studies
going on he hadn't thought at all about dating, and upon reflection, he thought it would at least be
worth trying. It was not successful however, but Dominic was still glad that he went.
At the end of the year he received a couple of O's which he was glad about, and the rest of his
classes were EE's. He overall enjoyed his time at Hogwarts and would go back to the beginning if
he could. It was bittersweet having to say goodbye to his professors and friends following the
graduation ceremony, but he was keen to see where the next chapter of their lives would take them.
Dominic Owens-Lee
Dominic Luka Owens-Lee (b. 22 September, 2047) is a wizard of unknown blood type and the only adopted child of Teila Owens-Lee (née ). He began attending Hogwarts New Zealand in 2057 at the customary age of eleven and was sorted into Hufflepuff House.
Early Life (2047-2058)
Dominic lived in a wizarding orphanage for as long as he could remember. He was told his biological parents had placed him at their doorstep with a birth certificate that stated his birth date and his full name (Dominic Luka Robinson). It did not include his blood status, however he can only assume that his parents weren't muggles as he was dropped off at a magical orphanage.
Dominic was quick to become close with one of the ladies that worked at the orphanage. She was one of the workers that made and brought them food. Dominic always got special requests from her, and she made everything lots of fun. He was adopted by her in 2052 and moved into her home.
Whilst at the orphanage, Dominic also made a few friends his own age. One in particular was Marley, and Dominic was thrilled when his mother's boyfriend, Killian, adopted her not long after he was adopted himself. Soon enough, they all moved in together and Dominic could officially call her his sister.
Upon meeting his new extended family, Dominic became close with his aunt Gwen. The pair of them would play games together quite a lot, and Gwen would push Dominic to his limits and gave him the opportunity to become more confident in himself and his abilities. When he had his first magical outburst, Gwen was the one to witness it. They were playing in the park and he managed to make a stick levitate. He was quite proud of himself in this moment and he was glad that he shared the special moment with her.
Hogwarts Years (2059-2066)
First Year
Dominic was excited to finally be attending Hogwarts. He felt nervous, but he was very glad that his newly adopted sister Marley would be attending the school with him. He felt even more overjoyed when they were both sorted into Hufflepuff House, which meant she wouldn't ever be too far away.
As the year started, Dominic wanted to make the most of it. In order to try and make some friends, Dominic joined a club called the Brotherhood that contained other boys just like him that wanted to make friends. It was here that he quickly made friends with Gryffindor first years Amodeus and Teddy, whom were already friends with Marley as well. They all hung out regularly outside of class.
Dominic tried his best to make other friends as well. He was taught how to make flower crowns by a fellow Hufflepuff in his year. He wasn't particularly good at it, however he enjoyed it.
The boy soon found his love for flying during his flying lessons. He thought he was quite good at it and intended on trying out for the quidditch team next year once he gained a little more confidence.
When Halloween came around, Dominic decided he would play it safe and dress as
a werewolf as it was easy enough to do. He enjoyed dressing up and spending the
night hanging out with his friends. The school also celebrated Valentine's Day the
following February, and Dominic participated by writing his friends some friendly
notes and sending them roses.
Overall, Dominic had a good first year at Hogwarts. His grades were also not too
bad with his best classes being History of Magic, Herbology and Flying.
Second Year
Dominic was glad to be back for his second year. There were still so many places he had to explore and so many opportunities he had missed during his first year as well.
He wanted to make it his goal to spend more time outside, rather than cooped up inside worrying about his classes, and so he thought Quidditch would be a good idea for that. He couldn't decide what position he wanted to try out for however so decided to try out for them all. He rather enjoyed trying out for beater, wasn't too successful at trying out for seeker, but did well at both chaser and keeper. Unfortunately however, Dominic wasn't selected to be part of the team, but Marley managed to get in successfully as a permanent beater. Dominic tried not to get himself too down about it, but was happy that at least Marley had made it.
As Dominic attended classes, he was starting to feel he was falling behind a little. He organised a study session with a fellow Hufflepuff in his year, Callie, whom Dominic looked up to as she did well in her studies. He invited Marley to join as well, and some Ravenclaws came along too. It was a rather productive session that helped Dominic feel a little more comfortable with the classes he was taking.
During one week, Dominic headed to a History of Magic class and discovered that the professor wasn't feeling well and couldn't find a replacement, which meant that there was no class. This saddened Dominic as he rather enjoyed this subject and had the upmost respect for the professor who taught it. Rather than using his time studying, Dominic decided he would try and cheer up the professor instead. He headed out to the grounds and picked some yellow snapdragon for her and brought it to her office, which was much appreciated by the professor.

Personality and traits
"text"
- text, describing Dominic's personality.
Dominic is an all-round very friendly person who is accepting of others no matter their age, race or social status. He is motivating and is always encouraging others to the best of his ability. He appears to be very charismatic and ‘happy-go-lucky’, and has a good imagination which aids him in helping solve people’s problems (which he often accidentally gets himself caught up in). Through making these efforts, he likes to be valued and appreciated, and often feels left out when his ideas are put down or he isn’t asked for advice. He has a strong desire to belong and be the center of attention, and when the attention isn’t on him, he will feel down and will feel as though no one likes him anymore.
He loves sharing his creative ideas and has an interest in writing novels and coming up with various worlds within his head which he often daydreams about when he has nothing else to do. However, despite being open to many different things, Dominic is unwilling to stand out of his comfort zone and is very vulnerable to criticism. He will often take people’s constructive criticism the wrong way, and will immediately doubt himself. He has a fluctuating self-esteem and needs constant reassurance. He may become defensive when people try to help him but they don’t say exactly what he wants to hear. When he is angry and upset, Dominic prefers to be alone so as to not destroy his ‘happy-go-lucky’ and ‘chill’ persona. He isn’t violent or aggressive, but will suppress his anger until he is alone.
When it comes to making new friends, Dominic is very open and accepting. He will often give people many chances, however is unwilling to stand up to people that do not bother trying. People who give little effort in everything they do are very unappealing to Dominic, including those who are constantly mean when they have no reason to be. He will give them excuses for a little while, but eventually he won’t bother being nice to them anymore.
Dominic is very traditional when it comes to rules, believing that they must be followed in order to keep everything organised and flowing smoothly. He avoids conflict where he can, despite accidentally getting himself caught in other people’s problems, and his work is definitely not done spontaneously. He hates things that are organised last minute, and prefers to stick to his schedule and get things done in a good and timely manner.
